Why I built this app

I’m an engineer, hopelessly in love with code — the kind of focus where you look up and the afternoon is gone. All those hours in a chair eventually caught up with my lower back.

One day the ache won. I downloaded one of the top-ranked stretching apps on the App Store, rolled out a mat and did the first set properly. It felt good — alright, one more set.

And right there, mid-stretch, a paywall slid over the screen.

That’s the day Zestimer was born. It will never stop you mid-workout: press start, and it carries you to the last second — every move, every rest.

Zestimer isn’t entirely free — but its freemium is a generous one: everything you need costs nothing, and it only invites you to upgrade when you want more.

These days I’m Zestimer’s most loyal user, and this is an open invitation: join the journey and stretch with me. As the old Chinese saying goes:

“Lengthen a tendon by an inch, add ten years to your life.”

And not just stretching — if HIIT is your thing, it’s the same interval timer underneath.

One more thing. You know those short workout videos you’d love to follow, except there’s no follow-along version — so you scroll past? In Zestimer, one tap turns that video into your own follow-along routine, customizable down to every interval. Scroll on to see it happen.
