How to do it
- Stand tall near a wall or sturdy support and hold on with one hand for balance.
- Shift your weight onto one leg and bend the other knee, drawing that heel toward your glutes.
- Reach back and hold the top of that foot with your hand.
- Gently draw the foot closer, keeping your knees together and your chest tall.
- Hold, then release slowly.
How to breathe
Breathe in to lengthen, then let the exhale carry you a little deeper. Never force it.
Common mistakes
Letting your lower back arch. Draw your ribs down and squeeze your glutes to keep it flat.
Letting your eyes wander. Fix them on one still point; balance follows your gaze.
